SEREMBAN (Aug 13): The body of a fair-skinned woman found near The Dusun resort in Pantai today has been confirmed to be that of Nora Anne Quoirin, 15, who was reported missing on Aug 4.
The body was identified by the family of the Franco-Irish teenager at Hospital Tuanku Jaafar (HTJ) here, said Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Mohamad Mat Yusop
He said the post-mortem would be done at the hospital at 10 am tomorrow.
“The post-mortem on Nora Anne will be conducted by a senior pathologist from Kuala Lumpur,“ he told a press conference at HTJ tonight.
“We are awaiting the post-mortem report,” he said.
Nora Anne’s body arrived at the Forensics Department of HTJ at 7.07 pm, after the helicopter, which transported the body from where it was discovered, landed at the King George V School field nearby at 6.45 pm.
It was brought in a Civil Defence Force van escorted by police cars and outriders.
Nora Anne’s family arrived at HTJ’s Forensics Department at 8.40 pm and hurried in to avoid the media’s glare.
Also seen were Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Hannah Yeoh and Negeri Sembilan Women, Family and Welfare Affairs Committee chairman Nicole Tan Lee Koon.
Nora Anne’s family found her missing from her room at The Dusun resort at 8 am on Aug 4. The family had checked in a day earlier for a two-week holiday in the country.
Her body was found at 1.57 pm today near a small stream located about 2.5 kilometres from the resort.
